M. Fay Tryon

M. Fay (Sagle) Tryon, 85, of Morrisonville passed away at 11:40 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at her residence.

Fay was born on December 4, 1932 in Mechanicsburg, IL the daughter of Byron and Mary (Hansen) Sagle. She married Murl E. Tryon on December 8, 1950 in Mechanicsburg, IL. He preceded her in death on May 11, 2017.

Fay graduated from Buffalo Tri-City High School in 1950.  She worked for Montgomery-Ward in Taylorville before staying home on the family farm to raise her children and help Murl with farming.  Fay was a long-time member and organist at the First Presbyterian Church of Morrisonville.  She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, word searches, and sewing.  Fay was an excellent seamstress and baker, well-known for her pie making.  

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and son, M. Leon Tryon.

Fay is survived by her daughter, Grace (husband, Glenn) Himstedt of Bristol, VA; sons, Lynn Tryon of Morrisonville, IL, and Lyle (wife, Vicki) Tryon of Palmer, IL; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 4 nephews.

Graveside Ceremony: 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018 at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL with Rev. Chuck Banning and Rev. Jim Ferrill officiating.
