Lloyd Smith, 86 of Taylorville passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 5:00 a.m. at his home in Taylorville. He was born on June 6, 1932 to Earl T. and Winona (Meeker) Smith. He Married Ruth Ellice Lynn on August 14, 1954 in Stonington, IL and she preceded him in death on January 22, 2013. Lloyd Served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1954 and he was a member and past master of Locust Lodge #623 AF & AM, the Springfield consistory and Ansar Shrine. He also served on the board of Christian County FS, Assumption Co-op and Growmark.

He is survived by his children: Kathy (Scott) Durbin, Joseph (Jenny) Smith, Jeffrey (Teresa) Smith and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Wife, brothers: Earl L. Smith Jr and Robert T. Smith.

It was Lloyd’s wishes to donate his body to science and have no services.
