Helen Huber, 86 of Nokomis, IL passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 1:22 p.m. at Life’s Journey Senior Living Center in Taylorville. She was born on January 4, 1933 in Morrisonville, IL the daughter of Edward and Mary (Farley) Clavin. She married Donald Huber on October 15, 1955 in Nokomis, IL. Helen was a homemaker and was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis, the CCW, Forester’s, Parents Club, Alter Society, St. Louis Catholic Church Quilters. For many years she enjoyed delivering newspapers, running blood drives and transporting people to their doctor’s appointments and to the airport.
Surviving are her Husband: Donald Huber of Nokomis, IL; Daughters: Pat (Steve) Janssen of Fillmore, IL, Diana (Steve) Miller of St. Louis, MO, Charlene Mergler of Nokomis, IL, Brenda Hickey of Park Ridge, IL; Grandchildren: Danielle DeWerff, Aaron (Emily) Janssen, Nicholas (Lindsey) Janssen, Spencer (Alicia) Janssen, Michael Miller, Matthew (Danielle) Miller, Marcus Miller, Adam (Maegan) Hickey, Michaela Mergler and companion Mingo Carter, Arianna Mergler; Great- Grandchildren: Gabrielle, Kennedy, and Maddison DeWerff, Elliot and Camryn Janssen, Reagan Janssen, Keller Janssen, and two on the way; Sister: Rita Mordacq of Carmel, IN; Brother-in-Law: Bob Canfield of Friendswood, TX and Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter in infancy: Karen Huber, brothers: Joe, Charles, Lawrence, Tom, and Ralph Clavin, sisters: Agnes Canfield, and Mary Clavin.   
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis, IL with rosary service starting at 3:45 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis, IL with Father Albert Allen officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Nokomis, IL.
