Stephanie Lynn Whitehead, 37, of Taylorville passed away at 8:25p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on January 26, 1981, the daughter of Scott P. and Debbra S. (McWhorter) Whitehead. Stephanie enjoyed puzzles, babysitting her nieces and nephews, playing games on her phone, watching Disney movies, attending concerts, and was a fan of wrestling, and the St. Louis Cardinals and Green Bay Packers. Above all she cherished time spent with her family.

 

She is survived by her fiancé: Derek A. Skinner of Taylorville; mother: Debbra S. Heckwine of Taylorville; father: Scott Whitehead (Michelle) of Mason City; step-sons: Joseph Skinner, Chance Skinner, and Bently Skinner; grandmothers: Barbara McWhorter of Taylorville and Myrna Whitehead of Mt. Auburn; sister: Stacey Whitehead (James Denton) of Taylorville; brother: Dustin Whitehead (Leann Coley) of Lincoln; half-sister: Avari Purcell (Chris Pullium) of Decatur; nieces and nephews: Chase Denton, Brennan Whitehead, Kyleigh Whitehead, Lexi Whitehead, and Liam Whitehead; and step-brother: Tucker Biesenthal (Hannah Rawls) of Collinsville. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers: Albert McWhorter and Norman Whitehead; aunt: Peggy Habian; and cousin: Rob Wilson.

 

The funeral service for Stephanie will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville. Visitation will be from 6 until 8p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
