Erma Mills, 97 of Taylorville passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 8:27 a.m. at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. She was born on February 1, 1922 in Conwith, IA the Daughter of Elmer and Alma (Elder) Prior. She married to Orville Mills on October 3, 1943 in Taylorville, IL and he preceded her in death on August 22, 1986. Erma worked for many years at Mystore.

Surviving are her Son: James (Carolyn) Mills of Edinburg, IL; Daughter: Barbara (Michael) Dudley of Brocton, IL; Grandchildren: Jason Mills of Edinburg, IL; Christine Schooley of Springfield, IL, Michelle Mills of Edinburg, IL; Chad Dudley of Brocton, IL; Tiffany McCammon of Oakland, IL; Robert Dudley of Brocton, IL; Theresa Krah of Taylorville, IL; Rosie Tarrant of Taylorville, IL; Richard Peters of Springfield, IL; Twenty one Great-Grandchildren; Sisters: Margaret Burge of Taylorville, IL and Laverta Tewell of Taylorville, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Daughter: Sharon Peters; Brothers: George William Prior, Robert Dean Prior, Wayne Earl Prior and Thomas Russell Prior; Sisters: Vesta Hendricks, Edna Prior, Gladys Tippitt and Clara Odair Prior in infantcy.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene in Taylorville with Pastor Bob Turner officiating. Burial will be held in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Taylorville, IL.
