Agnes Elaine Jones, 77, of Stonington passed away at 9:25p.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2019 in her home. She was born on May 3, 1941 in Stonington, the daughter of Robert Leroy and Dorothy Elaine (Stroud) Graham. She married Charles W. “Bill” Jones on September 10, 1960 in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Stonington. Agnes worked for many years at the Taylorville Community Credit Union and alongside her parents on their family farm. She enjoyed cross stitch work and quilting, reading, and working in her flower garden.

She is survived by her husband: Bill Jones of Stonington; sons: Mark Jones and Eric Jones both of Taylorville; grandchildren: Ryan Jones, Catherine Lagadia, Anna Jones, Carlos Jones, and Andrew Jones; siblings: Thomas Graham (Pam) of Stonington, John Graham of Taylorville, and Mary Ann Basil (Ron) of Decatur; sister-in-law: Cathy Graham of Decatur; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: James Graham and Charles Graham.

A memorial mass for Agnes will be held at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Stonington with Monsignor David Lantz officiating. Inurnment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville. Visitation will be from 10 until 11a.m. in the church on Tuesday.
