Josie Yvonne Ford-King, 90 of Springfield formerly of Stonington, IL passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 7:36 p.m. at Heritage Health Care Center in Springfield, IL. She was born on May 26, 1928 in Converse, LA the daughter of Joseph Franklin and Zula Candice (Boyd) Ford. She married Donald Lee King on April 30, 1946 in Griffin, IN and he preceded her in death on August 23, 2012. Josie worked as a homemaker and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Mt. Auburn, IL.

She is survived by her Son: Jonathon (Noemi) King of Carterville, IL; Daughter: Carol Lee King of Springfield, IL; Grandchildren: Michael Harris; Jonathan, Roy, Jacob, and Hope Raimerz; Kaylee King; D.J. Hansen; Katelyn and Ryan Loller; Nicole and Jeffery King; Brandon, India and Isaiah King; Thirteen Great-Grandchildren; Five Great-Great-Grandchildren; Brother: Wynnie Ford and Sister: Bobbye Camp both of Converse, LA; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Sons: James and Donald King; Brother: Franklin “Pete” Ford and Granddaughter: Jamie King.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Gerald McPhillips officiating. Burial will be held at 12:00 noon at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL.
