Vicky Elaine Handlin, 71 of Taylorville passed away at 12:03 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2019 in her home.  She was born on November 14, 1947 in Springfield, the daughter of Harry and Helen (Stanton) Norris.  She worked as a CNA providing in-home care services.  She was a fan of the Chicago Cubs.  

She is survived by her sons: Frederick Burtle (Gloria) of New Braunfels, Texas and Shawn Burtle (Katie) of Taylorville; grandchildren: Sasha Villarreal (Rodolfo) of Texas, Aryel Burtle of Texas, Kianna Burtle of Texas, Chloe Mulvaney (Trey) of Kincaid, and Lucy Burtle of Taylorville; great grandchildren: Ebony Villarreal, Aria Villarreal, Lettie Mulvaney, and Lane Mulvaney; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Harry “Dick” Norris, Charlie Joe Norris, Lela Mae Durbin, Sandra Lou Vargas, Brenda Kay Fleming, and Judith Florine Sterling.

A funeral service for Vicky will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17 at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville with Rev. Don Beetem officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Burial will take place at the Fairview Cemetery.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville assisting the family with arrangements.  Memories of Vicky, or condolences to her family, may be left online at www.mcclurefuneralhome.com.
