Darrel Robert Monts, 63 of Kincaid passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 12:15 p.m. at Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Taylorville, IL. He was born on July 2, 1955 in Taylorville, IL the son of Robert Virgil and Margarett Nell (Lee) Monts. He married Monica Ann Spinner on October 5, 1996 in Kincaid, IL. Darrel worked as a Rural Development Specialist with the USDA and he was a member of Kincaid Methodist Church in Kincaid, IL.

He is survived by his Wife: Monica Monts of Kincaid, IL; Daughter: Rachel Mary Margrett Monts of Kincaid, IL; Brother: David L. (Barbara) Monts of Starksville, MS; Nieces: Deidre (Josue) Hernandez, Desiree and Nephew: Derek Monts of Van Buren, AR and Several Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Parents and his Nephew: Drew Monts. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2019 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Memorial Service will follow the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Inurnment will be in Fraley Cemetery in Taylorville, IL.
