Claudia Mae (Beard) Droke, 72 of Taylorville passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. She was born on November 3, 1946 in Taylorville, IL the daughter of Floyd “Huck” and Arlena (Heiple) Beard.

She married Harvey Droke and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by her Children: Floyd (Pamela) Meacham, Brenda Meacham-Travis, Connie (Jay) McEvers, Teresa Vaughn, Barbara (Kristy) Droke, Harvey (Bobbi) Droke, Steve (Bonnie) Droke and Judy Droke and Jerry (Freda) Smith; Grandchildren: Zachary, Stephanie, Derek, Angela, Harvey, Jessica, Toby, Adam, Claudia, Cristina, Tiffany, Justin, David, Michael, Austin, Carter, Traci, Payton and Christopher; Thirty seven Great-Grandchildren and several Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, life partner Donald “Duck” Meacham, Granddaughter: Sierra Droke, Grandson: Raymond Meacham, brothers: Raymond and Frank Beard and several Aunts and Uncles.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 6:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home with Rev. Russell Beard officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
