Eleanor Loyce Reed, 86, of Morrisonville, IL, passed away at 1:05 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Meadow Manor Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Taylorville, IL.

 

Eleanor was born April 7, 1933 in Gladewater, TX, the daughter of William B. and Sylvia (Lewis) Huddleston.  She was raised in Brownstown, IL where she graduated high school.  Eleanor attended Oklahoma State University, and worked for her family’s store, Huddleston’s General Store.  She married Warren P. Reed, and he preceded her in death.  Later she would drive a school bus for the Morrisonville Schools, and then retire from the State of Illinois where she worked as a secretary.

 

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

 

Eleanor is survived by her children, Terry Held of Norman, OK, William (wife, Becky) Reed of Morrisonville, IL, Jill Medina of Norman, OK, Dee (husband, Paul) Held of Taylorville, IL, Robert “Bob” Reed of Edmond, OK, and Brad (wife, Shannon) Reed of El Reno, OK; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Bryant of Norman, OK; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cremation will be provided and a private graveside ceremony will be held at Morrisonville Cemetery.
