Betty A. Gothup, 87 of Taylorville passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 6:10 p.m. in Taylorville Care Center Taylorville, IL. She was born on July 2, 1932 in Curtisville, MI the daughter of Clare H. and Ida (Wilkinson) Redmond. She married Dorman Glenn Gothup on August 16, 1958 and he preceded her in death. Betty was an active member at Grace Baptist Church in Taylorville up until her illness.

She is survived by her Daughters: Susan (Thomas) Loggans of Greendale, WI; Kathy (Gerald) McPhillips of Taylorville, IL; Grandchildren: Elisabeth (Matthew) Olson, Sarah (Josh) Buda, Stephen (Emily) Loggans, Jeremy (Amanda) McPhillips and Alyssa (Mark) Horner; Great-Grandchildren: Owen Olson, Maci Olson, Elijah Olson, Jett Horner, Cove Horner, Uriah McPhillips, Noah Loggans and Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, great-granddaughter: Noel Olson; brother: Clare Redmond and sister: Joan Ream.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Taylorville. Funeral Service will be immediately following the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Taylorville with Pastors Gerald McPhillips and Tom Loggans officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL.
