Karen Kader, 77 of Taylorville passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 1:50 p.m. in Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. She was born on March 27, 1942 in Taylorville, IL the daughter of Henry Harmon and Amy Matilda (Hackl) Freese. She Married Charles Douglas Alvey Sr. and they divorced, she then married Charles Wayne Riggs and they later divorced, she then married John William Kader and he preceded her in death. Karen worked as a CNA at Taylorville Care Center and she was a cashier at Wal-Mart in Taylorville. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Taylorville.

  
She is survived by her Sons: Charles D. (Mary) Alvey Jr. of Taylorville, IL; Scott Alvey of Taylorville, IL; Daughters: Linda Lou (Ken) Hooper of Blue Mound, IL; Amy M. (Brian) Taylor of Taylorville, IL; Grandchildren: Jesse Lynn (Julie) Tullis; Tyrel (Shelly) Tullis, Ken (Brittany) Hooper; Christopher Hooper; John Hooper and Ashley Alvey; Five Great-Grandchildren; Sister: Anita Moore of Lincoln, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, hubands, sister: Billie Whitby, Granddaughter: Elizabeth Faith Alvey. 

Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Monsignor Lantz officiating. Visitation will be immediately following the funeral service and ending at 7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Inurnment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL at a later date.
