Richard F. Stout

Richard F. Stout, 93 of Taylorville, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 6:20 a.m. at Heritage Health Care Center in Springfield, IL. He was born on January 3, 1927 in Bridgeton, MO the son of E. Cleve and Ethel Ray Stout. He married Marjorie Evans in 1958. Richard was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Navy, and was a life member of Mound Lodge #122 AF & AM in Taylorville, Springfield Consistory, life member of the Ansar Shrine, VFW Post #4495 for 72 years, Teamsters Union for 40 years and was an FAA Certified Weather Station Technician at the Taylorville Air Port for 10 years. He worked as a manager and projectionist with Frisina Amusement Co. for 40 years, was a photographer and worked at the Kennedy Redi-Mix plant. 


His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: Richard E. Stout of Las Vegas, NV; Rebecca (late Ron) Adams of Girard, IL and Michael (Tracy) Stout of Springfield, IL. As well as grandchildren: Lauren (John) Thompson, Joseph Stout, Gerald (Kim) Stout, Jessica (Travis) Healey, Jordan Stout, Kaeleb Hutchison, Tara Hutchison, DeAnna (Zach) Kettelkamp, Dillon Adams, Demeri Adams and fourteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Sgt. Cleve H. Stout U.S. Army Air Corp. killed in action in WWII and two sisters: Francis Stout and Edna L. Hamilton.


Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Taylorville, IL. Funeral Service will follow the visitation starting at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Taylorville with Pastor Becky Lembke officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL with Chaplain Gerald Stout officiating.
