Mr. Chesley E. Orrison

Mr. Chesley E. Orrison, Sr. 87, of Kincaid, IL passed from this life at 2:45 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2020 at home in Kincaid.
He was born in Tahona, OK on Wednesday, October 5, 1932 the son of Robert James and Nora Ann (Brewer) Orrison.  He graduated from Welch West Virginia High School with the class of 1951.  Chesley honorably served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1956.  Mr. Orrison married Miss Rose Pulice, February 4, 1956 in the Chapel By The Sun at the Naval Hospital in Newport, RI.  Rose preceded him in death September 18, 2011.


Mr. Orrison was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church, Kincaid.  He retired from Caterpillar Tractor after 37 years in 1989.  Chesley was baptized by Fr. Hughes and took his First Communion in 1960.  He loved fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  Mr. Orrison also enjoyed going to sporting events and gardening in the back yard.  He was a member of the Sangchris Bass Club.


Surviving are: a daughter Elizabeth (husband John) Halbert of Kincaid, IL 2 sons Robert (wife Cindy) Orrison of Kincaid, IL and Chesley E. Orrison, Jr of Tovey, IL 6 grandchildren Audra Smith, Melissa (Tim) Corso, Zachary (Rikki) Orrison, Erica (Nik) Harris, Dylan Orrison and Autumn Orrison, great-grandchildren Dalton, Allison, Tyler, Hannah, Tage, Remington, Pystol, Adalyn, and Wade, 2 great-great granddaughters Kinlee and Evylinn along with a sister Nella Sampson of Sapulpa, OK and many nieces and nephews.


Mr. Orrison was preceded in death by his parents, wife Rose, 4 brothers John Robert, Joe, Jack and Billy Orrison and 2 sisters Patricia Darneal and Margaret LaVerne Grobosky.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2020 at St. Rita Catholic Church in Kincaid.  Monsignor David Lantz will officiate.  Burial will follow in Edinburg Cemetery.  Visitation for Mr. Chesley E. Orrison Sr. will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at St. Rita’s.  Masterson Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Kincaid is honored to be entrusted with his care.
