Doris J. DeClerck, 82 of Pana passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at Heritage Health—Pana. She was born July 29, 1937 in Pana, IL, daughter of the late Charles & Leona (Barding) Bartow. Doris married Robert DeClerck on July 2, 1954 and he survives in Pana.
Doris lived in Pana her entire life; working for the greenhouses, Mallory’s, Rothley’s Clothing in Taylorville & Decatur, and Pana Lumber. She was also a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Pana. Doris enjoyed shopping, bowling & fishing and especially loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Doris is survived by her children: Debby (Eric) Jostes, Pana, IL; Brenda (Gary) Spurling, Taylorville and Kent (Debbie) DeClerck, Pana; grandchildren: Aaron (Laura) Jostes, Michael (Bobi Jo) Jostes, Philip (Samantha) Jostes, Tammy (Todd) Altman, Samuel (Kiernan) Spurling, Robert (Kara) Spurling, Amber (Grover) Green, Christina Horsthemke; great grandchildren: Lauren, Ella, Kara, Lillian, Ethan, Kaley, Hailey, Xton, Ainsley; and several nieces & nephews. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Arthur Bartow, Darwin “Pat” Bartow, Mabel Pinkston, Helen Louise Gordon, Eliphaz “Pat” Bartow.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a celebration of life service and private family burial will be held at a later date.
Memorials in Doris’ honor may be made to Heritage Health—Pana and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
