Louetta Mae Dickerson

Louetta Mae Dickerson, 103, of Taylorville, passed away at 10:10 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home in Mattoon. Lou was born October 18, 1916 in Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of John and Ella (Woodward) Williams. She married Clay Dickerson on September 18, 1938 in Veedersburg, IN. He preceded her in death on October 7, 1991. Lou was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Taylorville, where she was a member of the Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Ansarettes and the Navy Mothers. Lou was blessed with good and kind friends. She enjoyed her crafts, sewing, reading, puzzles, and spending time with her family and friends.

Lou was also preceded in death by her parents; sister; 2 brothers; and granddaughter, Dana Lynn Dickerson.

Surviving are her daughter, Nancy (husband, Jerry) Dunn of O’Fallon, IL; son, Tom (wife, Sally) Dickerson of Trilla, IL; grandchildren, Teresa (husband, Todd) Harris, Mary (husband, Harold) Mueller, David (wife, Jenny) Dickerson, Dacia (Tim Passoni) Nisbet, and Joey Dickerson; step-grandchildren, Christy Moomey, and Jim (wife, Christine) Johnson; great grandchildren, Logan Harris, Alexandra Mueller, Megan Mueller, Averi Nisbet, Kynnedi Goldstein, Laney Clay Dickerson, Nick Norman, Korbyn Passoni, Quynn Passoni, Noah Passoni, Jasmyn Passoni, Ashley Moomey, Tyler Moomey, and Benjamin Johnson; and great-great grandchildren, Willow Faye Grace, Zaylon “Z”, and Marlie Moomey.

Private family graveside ceremonies will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, with Pastor Becky Lembke officiating.
