Julie Ann Hamm

Julie Ann Hamm, 65 of Grove City, passed away at 8:55a.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2020 in her home.  She was born on February 19, 1955 in Pinckneyville, Illinois, the daughter of James A. and Dorothy M. (Collebrusco) Wilks.  She married Joseph Martin Hamm on January 1, 1998 in Tovey.  Julie worked for over 30 years for the Christian County Mental Health Association as a direct service provider.  Previously she worked several years as a bus driver for Smith Bus Service and at the Dekalb chicken farm.  Julie enjoyed reading, doing word puzzles and her puppies, but most of all she loved her family, especially her many grandchildren.  

 

She is survived by her husband: Joe Hamm of Grove City; children: Wendy Snow (Shannon) of Lima, Ohio, Justin Heberling of Langleyville, Lara Tippitt (Walter) of Mt. Auburn, Brandon Hamm of Chatham, and Carl Hamm (Timari Tucker) of Mt. Auburn; grandchildren: Quintin Tippitt (Lydia Fixal), Blake Tippitt, Michael Snow, Joseph Hamm II, Trevor Snow, Grace Heberling, Alyssa Braun, Ethan Snow, Lydia Heberling, Nathaniel Hamm, Drayven Hamm, Camille Heberling, and Iris Heberling;  brother: Jamie Wilks (Ruth) of Taylorville; and an uncle, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  

 

Julie will be cremated, and a private family graveside service will be held in the Grove City Cemetery on Thursday, May 7, 2020 with Michael St. Louis officiating.  Memorials in Julie’s honor may be made to the Christian County Mental Health Association.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.  Memories of Julie, or condolences to her family, may be shared online at www.mcclurefuneralhome.com.
