Pauline Lindsey

Pauline (Whitmer) Lindsey, 104 of Taylorville passed away on Monday, June 1, 2020 at 9:35 p.m. at Prairie Rose Health Care Center in Pana, IL. She was born on July 4, 1915 in Equality, KY in Ohio County the daughter of Arthur and Lottie (Brown) Whitmer. She married Paul “P.J.” Lindsey on September 23, 1933 in the First Baptist Church of Taylorville, IL and they enjoyed 75 years of wedded bliss. Pauline and P.J. Lived in Key Largo, FL for many years until P.J. said “Polly, we have to move back home to Taylorville so our kids can take care of us.” Pauline worked as a homemaker and she was a decorator! Her Creative Talent was evident in her home. If something would hold still, she would paint it. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Taylorville.


She is survived by her Daughters: Judy Adams of Taylorville, IL; Jane Kutch of Taylorville, IL; Son: Jim (Kathy) Lindsey of Taylorville, IL; Grandchildren: Lindsey (John) Schaefer; Kelly (Dennis) Bland of Taylorville, IL; J. Clark (Lee) Frisina of Glen Burney, MD; Lori (Brad) Sassatelli; Brad Adams; Kate (Jack) Frisina-White of St. Louis, MO; Molly Bee (Charlie) Friesland; Jim C. Lindsey; seventeen great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandsons: Mark and Scott Adams, sister: Mary Jane Howell and brother: Morton B. Whitmer. 


Private Family Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville with Pastor Don Beetem officiating.
