Wileen "Sue" (Skinner) Hendricks

Wileen “Sue” (Skinner) Hendricks, 66, of Taylorville, passed away at 2:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2020 at her residence.


Sue was born July 10, 1954 in Taylorville, the daughter of Harold and Ruth (Oller) Skinner.  She worked for many years as a CNA, and taking care of people was what she did best.  Family meant everything to Sue.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Morrisonville, and a member of Royal Neighbors of America.  Sue was an avid reader, especially of her favorite book, The Bible.


She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ruby Helms, Alberta Delahunt, Violet Woodkirk, Betty Skinner, and Brenda Skinner; and brothers, Melvin “Bill”, Earl, Sherman, and Clifford Skinner.


Sue is survived by her son, Terry Skinner of Hobart, WA; daughter, April (husband, Jean) Abboud of Taylorville; grandchildren, Zackarayah, David, Aubrey, Destiny, and Brandon; 1 great grandchild; siblings, Larry Skinner of Blue Mound, Sheila Skinner of Taylorville, James (wife, Marilyn) Skinner of Morrisonville, Mary (husband, Claude) Grandfield of Blue Mound, Donald (wife, Brenda) Skinner of Harvel, and Clarissa (husband, William) Hirtman of Decatur; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Visitation & Funeral Ceremony: The family will receive guests from 10:00 a.m. until the time of ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at the First Baptist Church of Morrisonville, 209 School Street, Morrisonville, IL 62546, with Rev. Chad Foster officiating.


Interment will follow the ceremony at Harpers Ferry Cemetery in Palmer.
