Knox Michael Bradly Gatons, 18 Months old of Taylorville passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 1:02 a.m. at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born on January 24, 2019 in Springfield, IL the son of Chase Gatons and Alexis Black.

He is survived by his Parents: Chase Gatons and Alexis Black of Taylorville; Maternal Grandparents: Brian (Carrie) Burge of Taylorville and Tysha Wells of Taylorville, IL; Paternal Grandparents: John (Carmen) Nation of Stonington, IL, Rich (Crystal) Gatons of Taylorville, IL; Maternal Great-Grandparents: Rick (Debbie) Burge of Nokomis, IL and Lana Loomis of Taylorville, IL; Paternal Great-Grandparents: Ann (Bob) Nation of Stonington, Jeff Mendenall of Stonington, IL, Beth Lahr of Taylorville, IL, Jerry Gatons of Taylorville, IL and Debbie Sassatelli of Taylorville, IL; Aunts and Uncles: Taylor Black, Halle Burge, Lucas Burge, Brandon Black, Hallie Nation, Hunter Gatons and Keyda Liberty. He was preceded in death by his Grandpa: Bradly Black, Great-Grandma: Pat Black, Great-Grandpas: Donnie Nation and Dave Myers; Great-Great-Grandpa: Jack Mendenall, Great-Great Grandma: Francis Frost.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation starting at 7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Mike Profeta officiating. Inurnment will be in Glendale Cemetery in Fillmore, IL at a later date. Due to COVID-19 and the CDC recommendations we will only be able to allow 50 people in the funeral home at a time. For those in attendance please try to practice social distancing.
