Richard Dean Prakel, 53 of Taylorville passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. at his home in Taylorville, IL. He was born on December 5, 1966 in Clinton, IL the son of John Richard and Constance Kay (Clements) Wood. Richard worked as a roofer for Eric Allard roofing.
He is survived by his parents: Connie (Jim) Wood of Taylorville, IL; Daughters: Alisa (Brandon) Noren and Brooke (Josh) McLeod both of Taylorville, IL; Grandchildren: Lindsay, Kayden, Beckett and Bowen; Sisters: Julie (Mike) Boyd, Nicole (Derek) Snyder both of Indiana; Step-Sister: Jennifer (Andy) Petzold of Iowa; Step-Brother: Jeff (Stacey) Wood of Taylorville, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Father: John Prakel.
Richard will be cremated and there will be no services. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
