Mr. Dale W. Basil, 62, of Jeisyville, IL passed from this life at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at home.
He was born in Taylorville, IL June 18, 1958 the son of Chester Wm. “Bill” and Mary “Charlene” (Tippitt) Basil.  Dale graduated from Kincaid High School.  He married Debra Durbin on September 10, 1983 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Taylorville, IL.
Dale was a coal miner for 20 years.  He finished his last year mining in West Virginia.  Mr. Basil, along with his son Cody, owned and operated Midland Tree Service for many years.
Surviving are his wife Debra of Jeisyville, IL a son Cody and his wife Madison Basil of Taylorville, IL a step-daughter Brehia Alaria of Tovey, IL 2 grandchildren Chandler and Charlie Basil of Taylorville a sister Anita and her husband Mark Lemanski of Taylorville, IL and a brother Jeff and his wife Gina Basil of Kincaid, IL along with several nieces, nephews and a great many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Bill Basil and a step-daughter April Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid, IL.  Pastor Bob Turner will officiate.  Burial will follow in Thomas Anderson Cemetery, rural Palmer, IL.  Visitation for Mr. Dale W. Basil will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2020 at Masterson’s in Kincaid.  Condolences may be left at www.mastersonfh.com which will be printed and given to his family.  Masterson Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Kincaid is honored to be entrusted with his care.
