Shirley Ann Robertson, 63, of Taylorville, passed into eternity at 6:29 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

Shirley was born December 1, 1956 in Aberdeen, MS, the daughter of M.C. and Martha Lee (Randle) Robertson.  She married Desi Tatum in Chicago, and he preceded her in death.

Shirley was strong and independent, and everyone always knew what was on her mind.  She loved singing and dancing, and having a good time.  Shirley loved life, and she devoted her life to her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, L.C. Shelton and James Robertson.

Surviving Shirley to cherish her memories are her children, Sharon Ann Robertson of Chicago, Anthony Ray (wife, Amy) Robertson of Indianapolis, IN, Therese Ann (Brandon) Robertson of Bloomington, and Desiree Ann (Daniel Shelby) Robertson of Taylorville; grandchildren, Deandre, Freddy, and Brianna Robertson, Danielle and Denzel Sears, Heaven and Kiana Robertson, Tyrone Anthony Orlando Morris, and Jovon and Danielle Shelby; a host of great grandchildren; siblings, Rosie May, David Lee, Adrian, Andrew, Calvin, Alberta, and Kennedy F. Shelton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Private family memorial services will be held with Rev. Tiney Walker officiating.
