Donald T. Tippitt, 89 of Taylorville passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 3:25 p.m. at Taylorville Care Center in Taylorville, IL. He was born on November 28, 1930 in Taylorville, IL the son of Dudley and Hazel (Foster) Tippitt. He married Gladys E. Prior on November 5, 1950 in Taylorville, IL and she preceded him in death on December 18, 2016. Don worked as a maintenance man at Nazarene Acers and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Taylorville. He loved singing and the St. Louis Cardinals.

He is survived by his Son: Daniel Tippitt of Dawson, IL; Daughter: Linda (Patrick) Regan of Havelock, NC; Nine Grandchildren; Fifteen Great-Grandchildren; Brother: Earl Tippitt; Sisters: Charlene Basil and Anna Michels; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter: Diana, son: Bruce, sisters: Zelma, Rita and brothers: Gerald and Rondal.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral Service will be held immediately following the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Bob Turner officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Taylorville, IL.
