Carl Steven Fixsal, 63 of Morrisonville passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 7:43 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. He was born on September 10, 1957 in Taylorville, IL the son of Carl H. Fixsal. He married Shelly K. Lairson on December 2, 1997 in Taylorville, IL. Carl worked as a millright for Zachary Industrial. He loved to hunt, camp and fish. He also loved to raise money for the angel tree and provide bicycles for the needy children. He was a firearm fanatic, loved to work on guns and loved to target shoot with Mike and Ken.  Carl was Captain for the Morrisonville Fire Department for 27 years and he was a volunteer for the Morrisonville Ambulance for 20 years. 
He is survived by his Wife: Shelly Fixsal of Morrisonville, IL; Sons: Robert Steven Coy of Winfield, MO; Blake Chanlin Fixsal of Palmer, IL; Jacob Ivan Fixsal of Kincaid, IL; Daughter: Amber Lynn Fixsal of Morrisonville, IL; Ten Grandchildren; Brothers: Dale Fixsal of Stanford, FL; Marty Fixsal of Parshall, North Dakota; Matt (Linda) Fixsal of Minot, ND; Danny Fixsal of Pana, IL; Sisters: Jane (Bruce) Emerson of Taylorville, IL; Mary (Scott) Hughes of Morrisonville, IL; Veronica Menossi of Morrisonville, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents. 
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26, 2020 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral Service will be held immediately following the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Chad Foster officiating. Burial in Anderson Cemetery in Taylorville, IL.
