 John "Raz" Radzimanowsky

 John W. “Raz” Radzimanowsky, 66 of Taylorville, passed away at 11:34am on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.  He was born on October 26, 1954 in Taylorville, the son of Fritz Paul and Eleanor (Durbin) Radzimanowsky.  He married Deborah Hendricks on December 14, 1974 in Taylorville.  John graduated from Edinburg High School in 1973.  He previously worked at Lee Norse and the Sangamon Company in Taylorville before retiring from Borden/Formosa in Illiopolis.  John was a die-hard fan of the St. Louis Cardinals as well as NASCAR.  He had a love for music, especially Blues, and enjoyed attending many festivals and concerts.  John enjoyed time in the outdoors, especially when he was fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening, bird watching, or simply enjoying the peace of his backyard from his pergola.  More than anything he was dedicated to his family.  He loved attending all of his grandchildren’s activities and the family Monday night cookouts were always a favorite.  
He is survived by his wife: Debbie Radzimanowsky of Taylorville; daughters: Tina Paine (Chad) of Tovey and Kristi Carey (Shane) of Taylorville; grandchildren: Daniel Brest II, Alexis Scott (Kyler), Ava Carey, and Cohen Carey; sister: Mary Tolle of Taylorville; and several nieces and nephews including his “Good Buddy”, Brandon Clayton.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Paul, Fritz, Thomas, Ronald, and Robert; and beloved dog: Lukey.
A private family funeral will be held, and burial will take place in Anderson Cemetery in Palmer.  A celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date.  CDC health guidelines will be followed including social distancing and the use of masks.  Memorials in his memory may be made to the Salvage Dawgs in Taylorville.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.  Memories of John, or condolences to his family, may be shared online at www.mcclurefuneralhome.com.
