Gary Allen Emerson, 61 of Moweaqua passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 6:26 p.m. at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, IL. He was born on November 10, 1959 in Taylorville, IL the son of Elmo and Viola (Pfeifer) Emerson. 
He is survived by his by Brothers: Dale Emerson of Moweaqua, IL and Richard Emerson of Perry, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents. 
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Gerald McPhillips officiating. Burial will be in Old Stonington Cemetery in Stonington, IL.
