Tommy Gale Stein

Tommy Gale Stein, 54 of Pana, died 8:25 a.m., Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Tom was born in Shelbyville on June 12, 1966, the son of Eugene and Mary Lou (Dempsey) Stein. Tom’s true passion was motorcycles, specifically the Harley Davidson’s he owned throughout the years. He had a love for classic cars and was especially proud of one that he personally restored and showed off in the Pana Labor Day parade. Tom will be fondly remembered by his family for his love of orange-flavored foods such as Orange Crush soda and orange Tootsie Rolls. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing. He loved dogs, especially his dear Pitbull Angie who preceded him in death.

Tom is survived by his son: Trent Jones (fiancée Ashley Basil) of Pana; four grandchildren: Thomas, Hannah, Hailey, and Hope; his companion: Cheryl Jones; two sisters: Mary Ann (Bob) Cilley of Monson, Massachusetts, and Linda (Ed) Trudeau of Holyoke, Massachusetts; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews spread out across the country. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother: Robert Stein.

Tom will be cremated, and a memorial visitation will be held from 5 until 7pm on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at McClure Funeral Home.
