Linda Loyd, 57 of Illiopolis passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 6:40 p.m. at her home in Illiopolis, IL. She was born on February 14, 1963 in Taylorville, IL the daughter of Earl and Alice (Wright) Simmons. She married David Loyd on March 7, 1981 in Springfield, IL. She worked as an information Specialist for the State of Illinois. Linda loved to renovate homes, building projects, to travel, but most of all she loved her family.
She is survived by her Husband: David Loyd of Illiopolis, IL; Daughters: Paula (James) Hartman of Park Hills, MO; Peggy (Tyler) Horne of Illiopolis, IL; Son: Brian Loyd of Illiopolis, IL; Grandchildren: Ashley Baker, Zachary Hartman, Dakota Loyd, Kari Loyd-Horne, Dalton Loyd, Rylie Judd; Great-Grandson: River Contreras; Sisters: Susan (Harry) Harter, Rose Beaston, Brothers: Earl “Butch” (Jill) Simmons Jr.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her Father Earl. 
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. There will be no funeral service, Inurnment will be held at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL
