Mary Margaret (Prior) Burge, 101 of Taylorville passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 5:47 p.m. at her home in Taylorville, IL. She was born on July 7, 1919 in Britt, IA the daughter of Walter Elmer and Alma Maud (Elder) Prior. She married Nelson Burge on March 24, 1946 in Taylorville, IL and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2006. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Taylorville, IL.  
She is survived by her Daughters: Mary (Willie) Hemingway of Taylorville, IL and Donna (Scott) Cole of Birmingham, AL; Sons: John Burge of Decherd, TN; Five Grandchildren; Thirteen Great-Grandchildren; Three Great-Great-Grandchildren; Sister: Laverta Tewell of Taylorville, IL; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Son: Dale Burge, 4 brothers and 6 sisters, Grandson: Chad A. Burge. 
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene in Taylorville with Pastor Bob Turner officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Taylorville, IL.
