Dolores Cameron Daigh

Dolores Cameron Daigh, 88 of Normal formerly of Taylorville passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 5:00 a.m. at The Loft Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Normal, IL. She was born on July 20, 1932 in Springfield, IL the daughter of Arthur Burl and Pauline Anna (Browatski) Cameron. She married James F. Daigh in 1951 in Taylorville and they divorced. She then married Dale Dimmitt in 1980 in Las Vegas, NV. Dolores grew up in Owaneco and Taylorville, she attended Taylorville High School, worked as an X-Ray Technician at St. Vincent Memorial Hospital in Taylorville until 1971, when she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. She recently moved to Bloomington, IL. As a teenager Dolores was in volved in 4-H and in the 1960’s she was a Girl Scout Leader.

She is survived by her daughter: Nancy (Bruce) McKinney of Bloomington, IL; granddaughter: Kathleen McKinney (Chris Wanless), grandniece: Kathleen (Greg) Seelbach and four great-grandnieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Caroline White Speagle, brother: Hugo White, niece: Karen Speagle Painter, grandnephew: Stephen Painter, ex-husband: James Daigh, ex-husband: Dale Dimmitt and Son: Bruce Daigh.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Owaneco Cemetery in Owaneco, IL. If anyone would like to follow in the procession to Owaneco Cemetery, everyone will meet at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville at 1:30 p.m. to follow to the cemetery.
