Rene Roger Trudeau Jr.

Rene Roger Trudeau Jr., 63 of Kincaid, passed away at 7:10pm on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, Illinois. He was born on November 26, 1957 in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Rene married Debra E Britton on December 26, 1981 in Holyoke, Massachusetts. He worked for many years as an over-the-road truck driver for Hogan Transport. Rene was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Papa, as he was affectionately known to family and friends, loved spending time outside, fishing and enjoying the family lake lot. Spending time with family and friends was the highlight of his days, and he never passed up an opportunity to throw a party, no matter the reason. He and his family also enjoyed taking many driving trips together.

 

He is survived by his wife: Debbie Trudeau of Kincaid; daughter: Andrea Trudeau of Taylorville; grandchildren: Jade Mendenall, Jarrett Logue, Jesse Logue, and Renee AnnaBella Gunning; great granddaughter: Brave Mendenall; father: Rene Roger Trudeau Jr.; mother: JoAnn (Bakes) Stefanovic; siblings: Joanne Jarvis (David) of Greenfield, MA, Marianne Nooney (Stephen) of Westfield MA, and Edward Trudeau (Linda) of Holyoke, MA; sister-in-law: Melinda (Dwight) Wagahoft, brother-in-law: John (Carol) Britton, sister-in-law: Barbara Britton; and honorary family: Jeremiah Gunning, Joseph and Brittany Gunning, Tyveon Gunning, Emma Malone, Doug Malone, Jennifer Baird, Cynna Kabrud, Jazmin Molden, Camerin (Tommy) Britton, and Mike Gant. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Renee Trudeau; father-in-law: Cletis Britton, mother-in-law: Margaret Britton; and brother-in-law: Phil Britton.

 

A funeral mass for Rene will be held at 10:00am on Monday, April 26, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville with Monsignor David Lantz officiating. Visitation will take place from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Sunday at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Taylorville High School Football team, or Red Bland Little League.
