Raymond Bock

Raymond Bock, 74 of Palmer, formerly of Highland Park, died at 7:50 a.m., Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at his home. He was born in Highland Park to George and Louise Bock. He graduated from Highland Park High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Army. He married Patricia Bock in 1996 in Las Vegas, and she survives. He retired from serving as Foreman of the Public Works Department for the City of Highland Park. He served as Trustee for the Village of Palmer. In his younger years he was a member of the Bocce Ball Club in Highland Park, and in his retirement he loved fishing and reading, and walking his dog, “Loser”.

 

Along with his wife Patricia, Mr. Bock is survived by his son, Karl (Tyneal) Bock of Olney, IL; stepchildren: Amy (Frank) Quirk of Springfield, OH, Daryl VanDyke of Waukegan, and Kelly (Scott) Hensley of Lorraine, OH; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; and sisters: Audrey (Sherman) Andrews and Ruth Blevins; as well as many nieces and nephews. Mr. Bock was preceded in death by his parents, one sister: Ann Espinosa, and one brother: George (Joanne) Bock.
