Patricia M. Stanfield Jones 91 of Taylorville passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Carriage Crossing in Taylorville, Il. Born December 11, 1929 in West Frankfort, Ill to Roy C. and Nellie Smith. She married Speed Stanfield on August 28, 1948. He passed away February 8, 1973. She then married Harold Jones on November 16, 1974. He passed away April 20, 2006. Patricia began her career with the United States Postal Service in August 1964. She was appointed Postmaster in Tovey in November 1973 and later appointed Postmaster in Kincaid in October 1984. She retired from the USPS on December 29, 1989.
Patricia’s hobbies included gardening, reading (her favorite pastime), hand stitching beautiful quilts, and enjoyed her vacation home in Weslaco, Texas.

She is survived by her daughter, Sally Thomas of Kincaid and sons, Dan (Kathryn) Stanfield, and Ted (Jeannie) Stanfield of Williamsville, Ill. and sister Cathy Hunter of Taylorville.
Grandchildren: Tom (Serenity) Stanfield, Joe (Vanessa) Stanfield and Tye (Luciana) Stanfield all of Ocala, Fl, Cortney (Ryan) Woods of Petersburg, Ill, Abby Thomas Clark of Kincaid, and Zoey Stanfield of Williamsville Ill Great grandchildren: Madison, Allison, Speed, DJ, Aidan, Jed, Asher, Jackson, Isabella, Tyler, and Kyle Stanfield, all of Ocala, Fl. Dylan and Avy Woods of Petersburg and Lily and Rhett Clark of Kincaid, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brothers Roy N Smith and Kenneth L Smith and sister Guilda Woodward and grandson Matthew Thomas.

Private graveside service and burial will be held on Friday, August 20 at 11:00 am, Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville. Pastor Becky Lembke officiating.
