Bethann Coonrod, 68 of Taylorville passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 2:05 a.m. at Hillsboro Rehab and Health Care Center in Hillsboro, IL. She was born on July 13, 1953 in Carrollton, IL the daughter of Hubert “Shorty” and Maryann (Craig) Coonrod. She worked in the dietary department at St. Vincent Hospital for 10 years before having to retire due to an illness. Bethann was the purest of souls, she never seen wrong in a person and never chose anger over joy and forgiveness. She lived and breathed for her family, her nieces and nephews were her pride and joy. Bethann enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, reading books, watching Supernatural and any chance to spend time with her family. Her laughter was contagious and her love for her family was never ending.

She is survived by her siblings: Debra (Don) Mays, Teri (Lee) Greer, Tim Coonrod and Todd Coonrod; nieces and nephews: Toni (Dustin) Allen, Brian Greer, Joshua Greer, Kyle Greer, Ashley (Scott) Finfrock, Jacob Coonrod and Jennifer (Jason) Kirpatrick; Great-Nieces and Nephews: Maddison, Mackenzie and Chaz Allen, Zane and Alexis Finfrock, Kaden and Kierstyn Kirpatrick, Will and Emma Shackelton, Sophia Greer, Broady, Brentlee Greer and Dakota Coonrod; Great-Great Niece: Lydia McDowell. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two nephews Toby and Daniel.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Memorial Service will be held immediately following the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville Inurnment will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Taylorville.
