Margaret Louise Muir, 84 of Taylorville passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 7:50 p.m. at Taylorville Care Center in Taylorville, IL. She was born on July 18, 1937 in Pana, IL the daughter of Raymond Matthew and Effie Mea (McMahon) Stanbery. She married James Eugene Muir on May 25, 1956 in Pana, IL. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville.

She is survived by her Husband: James Muir of Taylorville, IL; Daughter: Carmen Lea (Allen) Little of Litchfield, IL; Son: Thomas Eugene (Loretta) Muir of Thayer, IL; Grandchildren: Jaime Torres, Kara (Jay) Finn, Sarah (Travis) Thompson, Misty Cairy and Regina Morgan; Several Great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters: Doris West, Alice Mercer, Phyllis Ashworth and Barbara Rodafelt.

Margaret will be cremated and no services will be held.

Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
