Albert Reno Burchi

Mr. Albert Reno Burchi, 82, of Kincaid, IL was called home to his Lord at 2:26 P.M. Wednesday, September 29, 2021, from St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.

He was born in Taylorville, IL January 2, 1939, the son of Reno and Dorothy (Eldridge) Burchi. Mr. Burchi married Ms. Melba Cairel on February 11, 1958, in Kincaid, IL and she preceded him in death in April of 2017.

Mr. Burchi Retired from the United States Navy. He later retired as a Coal Miner from mine #10 near Pawnee, IL and member of U.M.W.A. Following retirement Mr. Burchi worked for a time driving school busses in Taylorville. He formerly attended Kincaid Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and Sang. Albert later joined the Edinburg First Baptist Church.   Melba and Al were known to many nursing homes in the surrounding area as the “Joy Bells” where they enjoyed entertaining with their singing and playing.  Albert enjoyed singing, dancing and spending time with his family. 

Surviving are two sons Alan (Renee) Burchi and Jack (Linda) Burchi of Kincaid and a daughter Robin (Robert) Beloit of Bulpitt, IL, grandchildren Brittany, Westin, Austin and Jason Burchi of Kincaid, Bailey and Rylie Beloit of Bulpitt, and Kira Lopez of New Mexico, 3 great grandchildren, Ronin Epps, Gabrean Lopez, and Seferino Lopez of NM and 2 great-great grandchildren Mila and Malaya Altrey of NM.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Melba whom he dearly missed, one great-grandson and a brother-in-law Jack (Janice) Cairel of Stark, FL.

Visitation for Mr. Albert Burchi will be held at Edinburg First Baptist Church, Edinburg IL on Sunday, October 3, 2021, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. with services to follow at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Tom Hamilton will be officiating.   Burial will be at 9:00 a.m. Monday, October 4 in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL next to his beloved wife Melba.
