Orren “Rich” Wilson, 84 of Taylorville passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 7:43 a.m. at Taylorville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylorville, IL. He was born on May 16, 1937 in Taylorville, IL the son of Stuart R. and Verna (Deal) Wilson. He married Emma Livingston-Wilson on December 15, 2000 in Taylorville, IL. He retired from the State of Illinois and farmed for many years. Rich was a member of the Morrisonville United Methodist Church, Taylorville United Methodist Church, Morrisonville Masonic Lodge #681 AF & AM, the Christian County Shrine Club and the NRA.

He is survived by his wife: Emma Wilson of Taylorville, IL; step-daughters: Sheryl (Joe) Craggs of Taylorville, IL; Susan (Rick) Hughes of Taylorville, IL; Daughter: Krista (Brent) Smith of Fillmore, IL; son: Stuart (Mary) Wilson of Morrisonville, IL;step-sons: Ray (Dawn) Livingston of Columbus, MS; David (Andrea) Livingston of Clinton, IL; Jon (Melisa) Livingston of Taylorville, IL; brother-in law: Ralph Lawless of Texas, Roger Boshell of Taylorville, IL; Sisters-in-Law: Shirley Piercy of Fulton, IL and Ruth Hinton of Taylorville, IL; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister: Winonia (Wilson) Lawless.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Memorial Service will be held immediately following the visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Brennan Hurley officiating. Inurnment will follow in Morrisonville Cemetery in Morrisonville, IL.
