Marva C. Harris, 79 of Taylorville passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 6:02 p.m. at Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Taylorville, IL. She was born on April 16, 1942 in Richland, MO the daughter of Gordon Kendrick and Essie Lea (Holder) Williams. She married Dallas Steve Harris Sr. in 1959 in Kincaid, IL and he preceded her in death on July 24, 2006. She worked as Sangamon Card Company and later an associate at Walmart.

She is survived by her sons: Dallas Steve (Nancy) Harris of Gillespie, IL; Mark Lawrence (Sharon) Harris of Taylorville, IL; Grandchildren: Jessica Carney of Gillespie, IL, John Franklin (Ashley) Harris of Springfield, IL, Meghan (Chris) Dubois of Colorado Springs, CO, Katelyn (Cole) Bethard and Ali Harris both of Morrisonville, IL; Great-Grandchildren: Austin Carney, Brianna Carney, Zachary Carney, Tyler Carney, Raine Harris, Connor Lopez and Quinn Dubois; Brothers: Charles Morris (Nancy) Williams of Eldon, MO, Marvin “Ed” (Jan) Williams of Ashland, IL; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Assumption, IL.
