Barbara Jean Southard, 75 of Taylorville passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at 6:30am at Decatur Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 8, 1946 in Bloomington, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Wylie) Robinson. She married Robert W. Southard on October 24, 1975 in Taylorville, IL. She worked at a local dry cleaner and later worked in the cafeteria at the Taylorville Sr, High School before retiring. Barb enjoyed bowling, reading, puzzles, games and socializing. 

 

She is survived by daughters: Teri Bankhead (Companion Jerry O’Neill) of Tucson, AZ., Robyn Menossi (Companion Alex Manzo) of Temecula, CA., son Todd (Kimberly) Southard of Springfield, IL., grandchildren: Boston Menossi, Seth Nelson, McKenna Southard-Kitson, Carson Southard, Olivia Bankhead, Nicolas Manzo; sisters: Molly (Tim) Westover, Helen (Denny) Garren both of Tucson, AZ, brother: Jeffery (Terri) Robinson of Taylorville, IL., several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother: Joseph Robinson.

 

Family & Friends are invited to the gravesite service on Saturday June 25, 2022 at 10:00 am at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL.
