Dorothy Belle Sapetti, 94 of Springfield, passed away at 6:15a.m. on Monday, October 10, 2022 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.  She was born on May 19, 1928 in Cerro Gordo, the daughter of Clarence and Lola (Kuhns) Hurley.  She married Mike Sapetti on August 6, 1950 in Taylorville, and he preceded her in death on October 27, 2000.  Dorothy worked for the State of Illinois DCFS for 20 years and served as a volunteer at Memorial Medical Center for over 2 decades.  She enjoyed playing cards.

She is survived by her children: Karen Sapetti of Springfield, Dana Sapetti (John Loverude) of Naples, Florida, and David Sapetti (Kim) of Chatham; grandchildren: Jeremy Mull (Brooke) of Pawnee and Kelly Thompson (John) of Springfield and brother-in-law: Fred Sapetti (Lana) of Kincaid.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother: Delbert Hurley.
