Richard Dean Hall, 66, of Taylorville, passed away at 7:54 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2022, at his residence.

Rick was born November 10, 1955, in Seminole, TX, the son of Jim and Wilma (Reddish) Hall.  He married Peggy Ann Stone Brun, and they later divorced.  Rick then married Karen Durbin, and they later divorced as well.

Rick worked as a bartender for years at many local bars.  He also was a cab driver for B & B Cab Company for many years.  Rick was an avid Cubs and NASCAR fan, and he loved playing pool.  Of all his hobbies and interests, Rick enjoyed spending time with his family the most.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Charlie McKavetz; brother, Jeff Hall; and brother-in-law, Joseph Dozier.

Rick is survived by his children, Holly (husband, Nate) Hapner, Melissa Hall, Jerica Hall, and Justin Hall, all of Taylorville; grandchildren, Dillan Braughton, Haylee Braughton, Kara Braughton, Riese Tirey, Easton Hall, Emylie Hall, and Mason Hall; siblings, Ron (wife, Patti) Hall, Sr. of Taylorville, Dorinda J. Dozier of Taylorville, Lori Hall Munro of Washington state, and Scott Hall of Washington state; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Graveside Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.
