Marvin Dean Brune, 83, of Taylorville, IL passed away on Monday November 7th, 2022 at 3:00 a.m. at his residence. He was born on July 16th, 1939 in Harvel, IL. He was the only son of LaWayne Brune and Norma (Prange) Brune. He married Karen S. Neal on December 26th, 1962 in Taylorville, IL. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years at Takhli Air Force Base in Thailand. He retired as an electrician from Caterpillar after 35 years. He was a life-long farmer, farming and managing the family farm. 

He is survived by his spouse: Karen S. Brune; Sons: Marlin Brune and companion Megan Bryant of Taylorville, IL; Kevin (Lynn) Brune of Flora, IL; Daughters: Shari (Tim) Millburg of Harvel, IL; Susan (Michael) Nation of Taylorville, IL; Grandchildren: Lindsey Brune, Josiah Brune, Kelsey Brune, Savannah Brune, Ashley (Tony) Walch, Amber Millburg and fiance Andy Gardner, Matthew Millburg and companion Abby Burrows, Tyler (Amy) Nation, Sara Nation, Levi (Kassie) Egbert, Lane Brune, Sophie Brune and companion Trenton Jenkins; thirteen great-grandchildren; Sisters: Shirley (Richard) Owens of Girard, IL; Terri (Mike) Moennig of Hernando, FL; and Kim Brune of Taylorville, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday November 10th, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, IL. Funeral service will be held Friday November 11th, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville, IL with Pastor Rodney Blomquist officiating.  

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Trinity Lutheran Church Day Care in Taylorville, IL.
