Steven Frank Johnson, 57, of Edinburg, IL, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.  He was born on December 19, 1964, in Springfield, IL, the son of Frank and Victoria (Truax) Johnson.

Steve is survived by his sister, Vickie Sue Edwards (Craig Rider) of Edinburg, IL; nephew, Christopher Edwards (partner, Kevin Collins) also of Edinburg, IL; niece, Courtney (Scott) Michel of Sunrise Beach, MO; great-nephews, Colton, Conrad, and Crue Michel; and his loving labradoodle, Whitney, and cat, Stella.

Steven was a 1983 graduate of Edinburg High School, and a 1987 graduate of Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL. where he was a charter member of Sigma Lambda Gamma #3, Sigma Nu fraternity.  Steven was employed as an Auditor with the Illinois Department of Revenue.  He was a member of the Edinburg United Methodist Church where he played the piano and served as President of the church board.  Steven loved to travel all over the world and explore different cultures.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022, from 10:00am - 12:00pm at the United Methodist Church in Edinburg, IL with the funeral service immediately following at 12:00pm.  Burial will immediately follow at Edinburg Cemetery.

 Memorials in his honor may be made to The American Diabetes Association.
