Mary Ellen Gibson, 77 of Taylorville passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at 12:07 a.m. at Taylorville Care Center in Taylorville, IL. She was born on May 21, 1945 in Taylorville, IL the daughter of Robert Keith and Hazel (Oats) Edwards. She married C. Howard Gibson on October 1, 1965 in Taylorville, IL. Mary enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Taylorville Lake and on the Illinois river

She is survived by her Husband Howard Gibson of Taylorville, IL; Daughter: Lori (Steve) Harrison of Taylorville; Grandson Eric Harrison of Philadelphia; Sister: Sharon (Terry) Marsango and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor James Jones officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL.
