Sandra L. (Sandi) Frisina, 80, of Taylorville passed away peacefully on November 28, 2022 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 6, 1942 at Cumberland Co. in Illinois. She was the daughter of Josie Gray Evans and Arthur Wesley Evans. Sandi was a High School Graduate of Mattoon, IL, class of 1960 and had been a member of Taylorville First Presbyterian Church where she was a Sunday School teacher while her children were growing up.

 Sandi married Robert Young on August 6, 1960 in Mattoon, Illinois. They had two children, Debbie and Brad. She later divorced and married Jim Frisina Jr. on October 20, 1968 in Springfield, IL and they later divorced.

Sandi had several occupations throughout her life and worked for The State of Illinois Sangamon County State’s Attorney office, owned and operated The Frisina Employment Agency, Taylorville High School and retired from The State of Illinois Corrections in Kankakee.

She is survived by her children: Debbie Young (Tim) Sutton of Taylorville, IL; Bradley Young of Dwight, IL; Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren: Chad (Heather) and Claire Sutton; Dustin (Tabitha), Marleigh, Raelynn, and Caiden Young; Austin (Aubrey) and Sage Young as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, her doggy BeauBeau and her loving granddaughter, Aimee Sutton.

Funeral services will be held at Sutton Memorial Home on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. with graveside services held immediately after at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL with Sister Rose officiating.

Memorials may be made to Riley’s Childrens’s Hospital Cheer Guild in Indianapolis, IN and to VisionWay Christian School in Taylorville, IL.
