Rodger Theron Lefever

It is with great sadness that the family of Rodger “Dutch” Lefever, 86, of Edinburg announce his passing on December 23, 2022. 

Rodger will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years, Donna (Orr); children, Jeffrey (Jackie), Rodney (Pamela); grandchildren, Justin, Jacob (Cassie), Jordan (Joey) Cavatorta, Peyten; step-grandchildren:, Jason (Tara); great grandchildren, Alex, Walker, William, Wyatt, Weston, Jolie; step great grandchildren, Jocelynn, Ava, Rayona; great-great grandchild, Elizabeth; niece, Vicki (Joe) Yonker; great nieces, Jennifer Yonker, Debbie Wingo; great nephew, Kevin Wingo, and numerous other family members and friends.

Rodger loved farming in the Edinburg and Barry, Illinois area for 52 years.  His fondest memories were of his children, grandchildren, and anyone else that would stop by during harvest.  He was lovingly known as “Gampy” to family members and others that he met.  He was known for Polka dancing with his wife and his penchant for everything John Deere. 

Rodger was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Alice (Reed) Lefever, brother and sister-in-law, Laverne (Blanche) Lefever, and niece, Sheila (Curtis) Wingo.

At Rodger’s request, no services will be held.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
