Adrianne L. Ostermeier

Adrianne L. (Smith) Ostermeier, 53 of Edinburg, passed away at 12:22a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2023 surrounded by her family in her home.  She was born on February 22, 1969 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Gregory A. and Denise (Nitzsche) Smith.  She married William Scott Ostermeier on July 4, 2004 in Edinburg.  Adrianne earned her Master’s Degree from Truman State University and worked for Springfield School District #186 where she worked with new teachers entering the district.  She was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Edinburg where she assisted in many roles including as a Sunday School Teacher.  She was an artistic individual and enjoyed scrapbooking and antiquing.  She enjoyed organizing parties and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone she could. 

She is survived by her husband: Scott Ostermeier; children: Andrew Ostermeier, Quinn Ostermeier, Zach Ostermeier, and Kyle Ostermeier; grandchildren: Sunnie Ostermeier and Asher Ostermeier; parents: Greg and Denise Smith of Columbia, Illinois; brother: Tyler Smith (Angela) of Eureka, Missouri; mother-in-law: Charlott Ostermeier of Edinburg; father-in-law: Dale Ostermeier of Edinburg; brothers-in-law: Mark Ostermeier (Tracy) of Taylorville and Tony Ostermeier (Lindsey) of Mechanicsburg; and sister-in-law: Chrissy Cagle (Jeremy) of Sherman.

Adrianne will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at 10:00a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Edinburg with Pastor Gaylord Spilker officiating.  Visitation will take place from 4:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. on Friday at the church as well as 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday.  Inurnment will take place at the Grove City Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church or for an education fund for her children, c/o the Ostermeier Family.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.  Memories of Adrianne, or condolences to her family, may be shared online at www.mcclurefuneralhome.com.
