Hermine P. “Min” Williams, 89 of Taylorville, passed away at 11:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2023 at the Loft Rehab and Nursing Center in Normal, IL. She was born in Chicago on June 5, 1933.

A resident of Taylorville for over fifty years, Min is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Mandros (Mark) of Bloomington, IL; son, Kenny Williams (Kathie Huson) of Virden, IL; grandchildren, Staci Mandros, David Mandros, Kitty Jo Haywood, C.J. Williams, Billy Williams, Bobby Williams, and Bradley Williams; along with eight great-grandchildren, her sister, Barbara Norton of Memphis, TN, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her supportive and loving companion over the last twenty-five years, Jesse Simpson of Taylorville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Williams and son, Tommy Williams.

Min was a long-time resident of Taylorville and managed the local Jubelt’s Bakery in Taylorville for years. In retirement she loved playing bingo with friends, reading, her cats, crossword puzzles, and traveling with Jesse. Thank you to the staff at The Loft for their loving care over the last few months.  Min will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, IL. A graveside service will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Edinburg Cemetery in Edinburg, IL with Pastor Gerald McPhillips officiating. Memorials in Min’s honor may be made to the donor’s choice. Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
